Dulux Damp seal White Primer & undercoat, 750ml
Product details
Product information
- Water-based
- Apply with a Brush or roller
- Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free from loose particles or mould. Remove any wallpaper or loose paint. Fill holes or cracks with an appropriate Polycell product and sand down well. This is not a cure for damp, which should always be treated at source before applying, also not suitable for use against rising damp. Should not be used at ground level, where efflorescent salts are present or where condensation is a problem. Use a brush or roller, allow new plaster to dry for at least 1 to 2 weeks before using this product. Stir well, do not thin. Apply the product generously to damp but not saturated surfaces working well over the affected area while avoiding runs. Avoid splashing on polystyrene tiles or any plastic materials. Allow to dry fully before over coating overnight. Treated surfaces are now ready to decorate, drying of wall coverings especially viny coverings may be slower.

Does not work at all
Clmadd - 1 month ago
I bought this as I couldn't find any Zinsser BIN, I applied the paint and left it to dry for 9 hours, checked it before bed and it was bone dry only to wake up in the morning to find it had been dripping on my girlfriend all night. It has wrecked our bed, our sheets and pillows. We didnt have any problems at all and only wanted it to cover a stain on the ceiling. Now we have to sleep with a plastic bag glued to the ceiling to catch the paint.
Does the job..... very well.

Bought to cover recurring damp patches that kept bleeding through new paint on a chimney breast. Applied 2 coats, each coat dries quickly, and it seems to have worked a treat. Recommended.
Brilliant
