If you've never painted with water based gloss before, be prepared for this to be VERY different. Yes it's thinner & yes it dries so quickly that you have to be quick. You can't let it go tacky & then expect to go back over it. I have this colour everywhere except the kitchen & bathroom. Yes it took 2 coats, 3 on new radiators. I was painting over proper gloss in a few rooms, so I did have to rub down slightly or use a primer. It will just chip off if painted on top of oil based gloss. Or like I had on one door it wouldn't cover. I've used it a few times now as I tend to redecorate yearly ( smoker). It dries hard but it isn't quite as tough as oil based gloss. My stairs & landing are painted white & do chip quite often, but it's the type of paint not a Dulux problem. If you sand down 1st the paint is easy to work with. It drips less than oil based non -drip. I do tend to slap it on thick on the doors, one panel at a time. Remembering to check for runs before it goes tacky. I do the long areas last. The colour is a light grey, but in one room it looks kind of blue. It totally depends on the light where you are painting. The emulsion is the same. It's grey on my hands & the water is grey off the brushes. I'm changing the living room this year as it looks a little blue in there. Warning of you smoke. It takes on a strange green hue with the nicotine after a while. So be aware.

the colour of this paint was perfect for our new decor, I thought is was a bit thin and the opacity wasn't as good as I thought it should have been, so I had to do a couple of coats, but great colour.

Great coverage
Do not be put off by the other reviews. This is a good product. However, if you have paneled doors, you must concentrate on one panel at a time and not over brush over tacky paint. Also, good preparation is a must.

Shocking!!
Bought 2 tins ( to be on the safe side) this Gloss to cover 4 internal doors - rubbed down the doors & used recommended undercoat... 2 tins later and they are shocking! Having to re-paint White!!!!! They have been done by a professional decorator (£100 a day!) Dont waste you’re money buying this paint!!

It's like trying to paint with milk!
This is a water based paint and quite the worst coverage I and my partner have ever encountered. On 'proper wood' such as skirting and window frames it is merely streaky and after two coats and a touch up is OK. However on modern 'hollow' doors it beads and uncovers before your very eyes! We reckon four coats will be needed. Also it is hardly gloss - more of a sheen and so weak that I doubt if it will stand being washed down with anything other than plain water. We will not be using water based gloss again.
