The Dyson Cool™ AM06 Desk Fan generates smooth, powerful airflow for personal cooling. Like all Dyson bladeless fans, it uses Air Multiplier™ technology to draw in surrounding air, creating powerful air projection.

- AM06 now houses a Helmholtz cavity, designed to capture and dissipate noise from the motor – which has been calibrated to run slower whilst maintaining powerful airflow. An eccentrically aligned loop allows air to ensure with less turbulence, further reducing noise
- Air Multiplier technology – air is accelerated through an annular aperture, drawing in surrounding air to project smooth, powerful, high-velocity airflow
- Acoustic engineering – streamlined air channels for reduced airflow turbulence make AM06 75% quieter than AM01. Awarded the Quiet Mark by the Noise Abatement Society
- Remote control – 10 precise airflow settings. Curved and magnetised to store neatly on the machine
- Sleep timer – AM06 can be programmed to turn off after preset intervals ranging from 15 minutes to 9 hours
- Oscillation control – to project air around the room. One touch for smoother oscillation. Pivots on its own centre of gravity, staying put without clamping

i got this for crismas many years ago moves a ton of air oscillater clcks a little but it still oscillaties great good for homes with kids and pets

Fan has a “Ghost” That Turns It On
I have had this fan for several years now. It does cool well, cleans easily and looks sleek on the nightstand next to our bed. The problem is, that it turns on by itself at all hours of the day and night and we cannot figure out how or why this happens. I have read on the Internet of others who have had the same problem and also do not know why this happens or how to fix it. Could not give five stars, or even four stars because of this. It is very frustrating and very annoying.

Awful and noisy (second one delivered)
We have two of these fans delivered now and they are NOT quiet. Not even close. I called Dyson directly and they said these might be "counterfeit." I asked Tyson how could they be fake if they had the serial numbers on file? Basically not standing behind their products. Maybe they are using sub standard parts now. Who knows. What I do know is I won't ever be buying any Dyson products again.

Not as quiet as expected and that bright display is just clumsy design
Bought as a night time fan and has been used every night for a month. However, and this is a big however - The internal fan mechanism generates a harmonic whining sound which you don't get with standard fan-based coolers. It's not loud, but is very obvious during the night when there's no other noise. We've resorted to running the unit at speed 2, when really we would like to be running it at 5 or more. I am concerned that this pulsating whining noise will only get worse as time goes by and as the bearings wear. Furthermore, and this has been mentioned by a lot of people. The bright white LED display should really have an auto cut-off capability because it is incredibly bright, especially at night. I have had to stick a small piece of card over it, which then has to be lifted when I want to change the settings. In summary, overall a good looking piece of kit, but for the large investment I have made I would have expected it to be quieter and more thought should have gone into the display.

What a let down
Does nothing to cool the air!! Purchased it on misleading advise, but after 6 hours in a small bedroom on max speed, the temperature increased. Actual cooling effect by air flow is no better than a regular fan despite Dysons claims about air buffeting. Honestly cannot understand how the price of this product is justified, or how so many customers are duped into believeing it ‘cool’s the room’...

There is no other cooling fan device like this.
Excellant cooling fan. Sits on my vanity when I'm doing my makeup and Woosh I get a hot flash and Woosh my Dyson fan goes on and cools me off like a Caribbean Breeze. P.S. this is my second one. I bought one larger for my office!!!

Can’t sleep without it!
We use this Fan in our bedroom at night time. It creates an amazingly fresh room year round. It generates just enough sound to be like “white noise”. Tried sleeping without it on the colder nights but the quality of sleep was just not the same. Very easy to keep clean. Lightweight, tales up very little space.
