Clean cut, poor accuracy

With my machine the cut was nice and clean, but it was impossible to follow a line as the blade was not aligned with the ‘v’ and the guide laser is not aligned with either the blade or the v.
Cracking little saw

I bought this to do a couple of fiddly little jobs and it worked out cheaper to buy the saw than hire a chippy. Ten minutes later... after putting it together etc... and the jobs were done. As opposed to the two days of work the chippy had quoted. It's not massively powerful, but if you take your time it can do some quite fiddly things quickly... and then I figured that as I had bought the saw I'd see what it could do. Well, it cut's dovetails, tenon's, mitres, chop lines to make a bowl, trims down timbre quite well and because I was curious managed to get most of my way through a bit of 4X4. It's a handy bit of kit.
And it may seem irrelevant, but the case is good too. A spot that holds the tool, another for the blades and with a bit of twiddle you can get the cable in too. I can recommend this but before you put your hand in your pocket, do be aware that it can do a lot more than you may think.
Oh... I did have to spend a lot of time cutting that 4X4 and finish off with a hand saw.
Exceptional bit if kit though if you don't expect it to be all singing and dancing.
Really happy with this product

Needed a small circular saw for cutting floorboards and this was great. But I've also cut plywood sheets. With care you can definitely cut in a straight line.
Impossible to be accurate - Wast of money

Disappointing purchase. This is a plunge saw more than a min circular saw. Because you have to push down quite hard to overcome the spring pressure before the blade descends into the wood this often causes alignment errors and the plate on the bottom of the saw to not stay in contact with the work piece. It does not like cutting along side straight edge and the blade catches on the sliding plate. There is no way to set the depth and not have to plunge. Very hard to make accurate cuts and visualize where the blade will cut. Laser not accurate. I have bought it, but will never use it again.

Bought this to take the edge off of floorboards where they were unduly tight together causing squeaks and creaks. Wasn’t expecting much but this came with a useful case and a selection of blades. The cable is usefully long. The unit feels well made and for my purpose the laser was surprisingly helpful. The adjustment stays/clips work well but do not look like they would last very well if used for more than occasional DIY. For small jobs this tool will be my preferred “ go to” over a full sized circular saw. Really pleased so far.
