Handle simply cannot be adequately secured
The handle fitted the curved cistern well using the two wedges. However, no amount of tightening the plastic nut would prevent the metal lever shank from shifting and wobbling during use. The plastic bush through which the shank passes is too wide internally and would strongly benefit from an internal structure or washer to inhibit movement of the lever shank once installed. Very disappointed indeed.

Back to square one
Easy enough to fit but like other reviewers, I found it hard to get the nut tight enough so the handle didn't wobble about. I used a plastic washer (not supplied) and this did improve things. I did anticipate that it would last longer that the (just) 3 months it managed before the "metal" shaft snapped in two. Very poor and not really fit for purpose.

Loose nut problem (TWICE)
This is the second one I have purchased having thought it must be my fault that the first plastic locking nut simply jumped loose at the first sign of pressure being applied to it. ie. the first time I tested the flush as soon as I had fitted it. But the second plastic locking nut has just done the same. The only way I got the first one to stay on was to apply a small soldering iron between the plastic parts "welding" them together. This lasted a couple of years until the metal handle shaft simply snapped. Have just welded the new plastic nut with the soldering iron. Wonder how long this one will last?

EU Brexit Flush handle
The flush handle metal certainly seems better than most products out there in terms of strength. The overall length of the square bar seems a little short. The two chamfered washers are optional to use as you may want a longer shaft within the Cistern if left off but still it’s short. The threaded quality of the plastic sleeve is fine but the plastic Nut is utter rubbish. Just like the EU brand name, without a decent nut to hold it together, it easily falls apart. Just like the EU itself, it was only ever an idea, yet thanks to all the B-EUraucracy, it is not worth the money if the Nut doesn’t hold it together.

Within three flushes the polythene nut slipped back up the thread, the effect of which was to make the handle loose

Poor quality
Recently purchased to replace a broken handle. This item is poorly manufactured and does not operate the way a quality handle should. The handle does not spin properly and won't return to its original position, this is down the the way the drive bar is fitted to the threaded shaft. Do not buy it!

Not solid metal so has broken
Bought this universal toilet handle which looked solid metal but the shaft into the cistern has twisted and sheared after only 18 months of use. Would not recommend.
