Rubbish Gas Fire
Never worked properly since the day I bought it. Lucky it lights once out of twenty attempts

low heat output
Does'nt stay on for long even though doors or a window is open, when it goes out it is difficult to light again. low heat output. Off to the shops in the summer to buy a different type of fire

Damaged glass!
I bought this gas fire a few weeks ago & when t was taken from the box the gas fitter noticed the glass panel was damaged on the edge. He contacted the manufacturer who asked for a photo of the damage. Now awaiting a replacement.

Great for warmth but unreliable!
I have had my Cheshire Gas Fire for about three years and have been very pleased with it on the whole but the worst thing about it is the fact that it will not always ignite. There is a definite problem with the ignition and some days for no apparent reason it simply will not ignite. My husband is so frustrated about this problem that he is talking of having the fire removed. We have always had the fire serviced annually, as per the instructions, but our Corgi registered gas engineer says there is nothing more he can do to improve the situation.

very efficient
I recently had the fire installed having removed a wooden fire surround before hand. I am however disappointed that the heat from it is discolouring the wall just above it. I may have to put tiling above it though I didn't reaaly want to do that. I have tried to attach a photo showing the damage but it would not attach

Happy After Many Years
Having fitted this fire a few years ago I am happy to say that I am very satisfied with it. The fire is 100% fuel efficient, easy to use, and makes a stylish focal point.

wish I had read the reviews before i bought
looks nice, which is why we bought it: however I will have to take it back as it is really a pain to get ignited. The piezoelectric spark is very temperamental, and most times induces such a temper in me that I feel like ripping it off the wall and sticking a match to the pilot to get the thing to warm the room. DO NOT BUY.

Poor ignition
We bought this fire because it looked good and suited our room. When lit it is very efficient and cosy looking. However after 3 years we have had enough of its intermittent fault of not lighting despite a new sparking unit and have decided to throw it away and get a fire from another manufacturer. Yes it is worth 5 stars for the first 6 months but that's all.
