Great tap

A big solid tap that needs a firm base. It looks the part and the pull out feature works well.

Great tap for a belfast sink

I bought this when we had a new kitchen fitted a few months ago. I read the negative review on this site but spoke to my kitchen fitter who assured me it would be fine for me. The clue really is in the name, it's for a belfast sink, so it's designed to be fitted into a worktop, not onto a ceramic or any other sink. My worktop is only 40mm, solid wood, and the tap is lovely and solid. It's very chunky and heavy so I can imagine that it wouldn't stay secure for very long if it was fitted onto an actual sink, even with the tap brace (which we didn't need to use). I love the ceramic handle, it really complements the belfast sink, and the pull out nozzle is usefull without looking like a restaurant tap which some of the pull out ones do. The only disappointment is that they didn't stock it in store and wouldn't even deliver to store, so as I work full time, I had to get it delivered to work and it was very heavy to carry home! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is fitting it into a worktop, but please don't try to fit this to an actual sink, it's not what it's designed for.

Used one for two years. As a tap it works well BUT mine is attached to a ceramic sink and the fixing is awful. The plastic plate underneath has broken and the plumber says that it is all but impossible to get the tap out undamaged. The method of attachment is not strong enough for the forces created when holding the spray bit. Really poor design. Am looking at a new tap now. Would advise you to look at the way it attaches before purchase.
