• Planting location: Beds, borders or in patio pots
• Flowering period: July - September, Planting period: March - May
• Dig soil improver and bone meal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole. Can be grown in borders or containers. Plants may require staking. Feed with tomato fertiliser every two weeks. Remove faded flowers to prolong flowering. Water well during dry spells. When the foliage has died back, usually after the first frost, cut stems back to 5cm above soil level. Not winter hardy. To over-winter, dig up the corms and store them in a cool, dry and frost-free place. Replant in the same way next year.
