Absolutely awful
I was a bit worried having read the reviews, however as they were over a year old I thought B&Q might have read the feedback and took it on board. But it’s worse than I thought. Used it on my shelf boards but it not only wrecked the tape, it chipped the whole board too! Tried using it in different ways but the result was the same. Chipped boards and chipped tape. Am so annoyed with this and would not recommend. Returning item.

Plutôt arracheur de chant
Plutôt que d'araser le chant, l'araseur arrache le bord de la planche... Mieux vaut utiliser une bonne lime qui donnera un excellent résultat, bien que plus long à atteindre.

Thin edge only
Bought this to cut laminate worktop edging tape but the tape was too thick. This cutter will only cut thin edging. The cutter is very flimsy

Je ne recommande pas du tout, ça a abîmé tout mon plan de travail et je ne peux pas recouper car il est déjà à la bonne taille.

Useless if used as intended, however...
As others have suggested this product is not really fit for use in the intended way. The trimmer effectively "clamps" around the edge of the worktop and tries to trim both top and bottom profile at the same time - it simply cannot cope with this and you likely result in a chipped finish if you attempt to battle through.... However, I have found that if you disassemble the unit via the 2 screws and use 1 half effectively using it like a hand plane then it doesn't work too bad at all. Just do the top and bottom of the edges separately and you'll be fine. Photo 1 is how the unit arrives and its intended use Photo 2 showing unit disassembled Photo 3 showing how I used it

If your edging is pvc this tool is perfect easy to cut

Don’t bother
The blades are completely blunt and just ripped pieces off instead of trimming. Took the blades out and they were not sharp enough to even cut a piece of tape. Don’t waste your money on this!

The blades need to be sharp
The blades are too blunt to do the job and tears the laminate, so suggest the supplier sharpens them correctly before dispatch from the factory, Once I sharpened the blades it worked fine,
