Wrong fixtures and misplaced fittings
Just received two doors and 3 drawers yesterday and set to work putting it together before I went to work. Everything arrived unmarked which was great and I was quite impressed with the drawers as the base was quite thick so shouldn't bow under the slightest bit of weight like other drawers and the soft close runners were a nice touch..........but then it was down hill from there! When I came to fit the doors and drawers the screws supplied with them were too small and could push the in and pull them out with my fingers. The holes for the drawer runners lined up with the back of the wardrobe and not the front, so basically the wrong way around. After having to buy some more euro screws and with a little measuring I managed to fit the drawers which was disappointing and really frustrating as it should have been so easy to fit. Now for the doors the bottom hinge does not fit with the wardrobe design and the holes don't line up either. Now either these are completely the wrong doors and drawers or they've changed the hole layout and diameter since I bought the 3 wardrobes I have. So now I have the fun job of modifying the doors so they actually fit which has meant I've had to buy a hinge jig so between the jig and screws nearly £30 out of pocket. What is the point of having design your own wardrobes that you can chop and change if you're going to change the fittings making them so they are no longer compatible?
