This GoodHome Furniture Varnish has a low odour, quick-drying formulation that provides a long lasting, dark oak satin finish and highlights the natural woodgrain.

- Surface Preparation - Prepare the surface by removing any previous coatings and loose, flaking or peeling coatings completely. For bare wood lightly sand to remove any loose fibres. Use a cloth dampened with white spirit to remove any dirt, dust or grease.
- Instructions for Use - Apply evenly in the direction of the wood grain using a brush.

Great product!!!
I bought this to darken my daughter’s pine nest of tables so they would match her other pieces of furniture & I was super delighted with the result, it went on well & the finish was amazing-I was very surprised it turned out how it did!!

Green tinted varnish
Similarly to the Medium Oak variant, when used on raw untreated pine this has an unmistakable green tint to the finish. No amount of shaking, stirring or reapplying gets it anywhere close to the colour on the tin. Maybe using a on different type of wood the results would be different. Really disappointing waste of money.

Do not buy!
This has ruined a project. I was making a frame for a table top TV using pine. After following all instructions on the tin, 3 coats, 4 hours in between coats, not to mention sanding and wipimg down inbetween. It looks like hot garbage. Thats hours of work and ££'s of materials wasted
