Awful, don’t waste your time or money

This is the thickest, least covering paint I’ve ever wasted money on! You can see every brush stroke, it goes on patchy but also seems to be runny and gloopy at the same time despite much stirring. Had to sand off and start again!

Don't waste your money

This paint is so thin and water-like that it is a complete waste of time. Even 1 star is too good for it! Absolutely no pigment has been added to the paint mixture and this renders it no better than a coloured varnish. Cruella at our local B&Q store refused to refund us when we took it back. It's going to be returned again by demanding to see the store manager!

Just awful

I’ve never experienced paint this bad before. It somehow manages to be so thick that it won’t go on flat and at the same time provide awful coverage. I’ve stopped in the middle of the paint job to take it back.

Save yourself time and money, don't buy this

Was recommended this by a member of staff when I asked if they had any Johnstone's Wood and Metal Quick Dry Satin paint, saying it was similar. Unfortunately, all this paint did was cause me problems that took a lot of work to undo - even tho I stirred it thoroughly it still went on very sticky and gloppy, never could get a smooth finish, had to sand it back after it dried. Thought maybe I hadn't stirred it enough so gave it another go, same problem. I went out and bought some Johnstone's at another store and it was like night and day. I will never use this Good Home stuff again, and wish I hadn't lost my receipt cos I would ask for my money back!

Good home North Pole satin wood

Bought it with doubts about it being cheapest available however soon impressed me as went on smoothly, coverage was fantastic and no smell. Two coats on woodwork that hadn’t been painted in for over 15years. Can’t grumble at that and would buy again.

Perfect for my needs

The paint was perfect for all my internal doors , dries quickly and low odour

Skirting boards sorted

Wife and I painted the skirting boards in one of the bedrooms with this. Easy to use. Coverage was good but some running needed attention after finishing. Probably better to count on doing 2 coats, but I couldn't be bothered.

Big Mistake

Don't make the same mistake I did and ignore previous reviews, this paint is dreadful. It doesn't matter how well you prepare the surface it refuses to sit flat, the best I can describe it is that it emulsifies, collecting into globules. Also you can forget about using a roller for large areas it just bubbles and strangely lifts in small sections as you go over it. I tried 3 coats and gave up, this paint is simply not fit for purpose. Very disappointed in B&Q Managers attitude when I complained, he refused a refund unless I brought the empty tins back so I have now got to do yet another 25 mile round trip to get my money back. Thankfully Dulux has come to the rescue and now I have a perfect finish, paying just £4 a tin extra. Not sure how B&Q could have got it so wrong with this paint, do they not test it before selling?

DO NOT BUY THIS PAINT!

I have never in my life used paint like this! You brush it on but if you so much as touch the wet paint to overlap, the original bit lifts off! I could maybe understand it if I hadn't prepared properly but I took time to sand and undercoat and lightly sand again. What an absolute waste of time and money! I'm going to have to sand it all down and start again. I wish I'd read the reviews before buying. It's unfortunate that I've had to rate it with one star. If I could have put none, I would!
