Terrible - would not recommend

Awful. No zero star so had to rate one. Very thin - horrible paint. Have bought Dulux- great paint

ExBandcustom3r - 1 / 5 - 20/12/2023

DO NOT BUY THIS 'PAINT'

Absolutely awful, wish I'd read the reviews first. Impossible to apply, gave up after half a door and washed off with warm water. Should not be on sale, can't return as opened, now in the bin where it belongs

Ajfornham - 1 / 5 - 02/11/2022

Awful

The worst paint I have ever used. No covering ability, despite being used on a sanded overcoat. Avoid!

Auntie Acid - 1 / 5 - 30/09/2022

Worst paint I have ever bought

Nice colour and went on easily, no smell, easy to clean brushes after use. The problem is it flakes as soon as it's touched. Mine actually started to peel off a week after application.

Bogie54 - 1 / 5 - 15/06/2022

Worst paint I have ever used

Bought this last week and after three coats has still not given a good finish, looks patchy. Have given up and going to buy a well known brand instead

Not regular gloss

Don't expect the usual oil based gloss, this is a water based eco-substitute which is more like eggshell than a high-gloss. I thought the Ottowa might be a good match for our 10 year old faded yellow brilliant white gloss but it was too green which was unexpected. I'd describe it as pistachio. The first coat was watery but dragged like crazy leaving bad ripples - you need to work quickly and smoothly. I was going to throw it away but, keen to protect my investment, I mixed in 1/8th brilliant white water based primer in an attempt to sort out the colour and found that it went on really smooth and well after that. The colour was a better match but it covered much better and it didn't really affect the finish, it was still somewhere between eggshell and gloss - quite similar to varnish. Very easy to clean up though with just soapy water.

Wood and metal paint

Absolutely a waist of money I did 3 coats of paint and it still looked like my first coat Very watery What a load of rubbish

Eddeh - 1 / 5 - 08/07/2020

Terrible

Little to no coverage, I started painting some skirting and a door that had been primed and had to give up. The tell tale sign of it being the pint was on cleaning my brushes where it just washed straight off, waste of time
