Product information

GoodHome Tough & Durable Matt Emulsion is suitable for use on any wood & metal surfaces, but it's ideal for use on the walls and ceilings of high traffic areas in your home, because of its covering power and highly resistant formulation.

  • Guarantee - Statutory
  • Suitable for use on Multi-surfaces
  • Surface Preparation - New plaster or plasterboard should be sealed with a plaster sealer. For non-powdery surfaces or to cover contrasting colours, prepare with a walls and ceilings primer. Painted surfaces should be sanded, clean and dry. Fill any holes or defects with filler. When sanding, wear a face mask to avoid dust inhalation. Before painting on bare wood or metal use a suitable primer. Painted glossy surfaces should be sanded thoroughly
  • Instructions for Use - Stir gently before use. Apply using a brush or roller, when the temperature is between 10°C and 30°C. For best results, apply 2 coats leaving up to 4 hours between coats
  • Instructions for Storage - Store any leftover paint between 5 and 30°C. Best used within 1 year of opening

Features and benefits

  • Offers exceptional hiding power depending on your selected colour and the surface you are painting
  • We recommend applying a primer before colour top coat
  • We want you to be satisfied with your colour selection. Not all monitors will display colours the same and paint tins may not show the same colour as your walls do in natural light. We therefore recommend you purchase a tester pot so you are sure that this is the right colour for you.
  • This GoodHome Tough & Durable matt paint has a stain resistant finish and is extremely hard wearing for longer lasting colour. It is washable, scrubbable and repels liquids so splashes can be wiped off with ease, keeping your painted surfaces looking new for longer.

Legal information

  • Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one. May produce an allergic reaction. Warning! Hazardous respirable droplets may be formed when sprayed. Do not breathe spray or mist.

Not used yet

Not used yet, however, bought to mix with another colour I already have that is not quite dark enough. Fingers crossed it works. 😊

Great paint

Great paint and great coverage unlike other expensive brands we’ve used recently well recommended

Locely

Loved the colour - thought it was a really dark grey but actually shows up a dark indigo blue in some lights. Marks quite easily but can be wiped clean so no major issue. I do wish they’d just say what colour the paint was as well as calling it a fancy name. It would be really helpful.

Chalk board finish

Bought this for a bedroom feature wall, coverage is good, price is fair, colour is great, Once dried it now feels like a chalk board and anything that comes in to contact with the wall will leave a white trail/mark, from a simple chartering cable to the back of your knuckles when opening a blind using the pull cord, I can see the walls getting re painted with a better more durable paint.

Absolutely awful

The sample in B and Q looks like an off black / charcoal black. Brought home and painted on walls and it's a dark horrible green. Poor reviews already on this item it's not the colour it says on the tin should be taken off the shelf!

Green but it suposed to be dark grey

Absolutely disgusting, I had help from a b&q guy, I said I wanted a dark grey said louisville looked lovely and grey on there plaques is it he'll as like it's dark grey well annoyed taking it back sod that

Worst paint I’ve ever used

I always use B&Q paint and have nothing but praise for their washable / scrubbable ranges. Sadly this does not deserve to be on the shelves, coverage is terrible and it doesn’t blend at all. Impossible to touch up the pigments refuse to play ball and you end up with shapes on the wall in a totally different shade. The wall looks like a mixture of black, dark grey and dark green tints regardless of my abrupt mixing. Additionally it acts like a chalk board, wipe a clean brush over it and it marks a lighter colour as if you’ve just sanded it. Totally bazaar paint and a total waste of money let alone waste of my time attempting to fix it with three coats. Had to buy a different non good home paint to do the job correctly.

It's a grey paint

Decent thickness. Spreads well. Not runny. Does what it says on the tin.

Incorrect Advertising!

I bought this thinking it was a dark grey but it most definitely is not! It’s dark green and it’s awful so I’m taking it back to get an actual dark grey!

Jayko - 1 / 5 - 28/03/2023

Rubbish

I’ve just painted the walls with this paint, stupidly thinking it would be the colour it states on the tin! But alas no bq have managed to get a dark grey green!!! I’m taking what I haven’t used back
