Useless
I bought one of these and within 2 days the rotating connection had come apart. I returned the item and got a replacement, this one lasted 3 weeks before the connection came apart again. Theres not much point have a rotaing joint if it unscrews every time you unwind the hose and starts spraying water everywhere. You could switch the tap off and disconnect the hose every time you want to wind or unwind a little bit but whats the point in that

Serious problem with swivel inlet
Bought this as it was cheap and just needed to tidy up some loose hose but when in use when you pull out the hose the brass 90 degree inlet valve unscrews itself and leaks badly or even comes right off! tried winding the hose on the other way, same problem, it simply unscrewed itself. Solution was to buy a "proper" swivel inlet of the type used by window cleaners. waste of money.

Things to consider
Not the greatest design. You need to disconnect the hose from the reel to wind in the hose and the reco nect to allow the water to flow in the hose.

Faulty valve
Every time you pull the hose out it un winds the fixing and the hose falls off tried to get help from B&Q who said they would get someone to ring back but they didn't so went and bought a replacement valve

Hose reel
Bought this 1 year ago and has fell apart already, the spot weldings have given away, and rusts badly waste of money

Hose Reel
Inferior to the reel it replaced. The hose connection froze and cracked in frosty conditions when almost new. The reel frame is no more than thick wire and hence flexible not rigid when turned.

Poor quality
Bought this product 6 months ago, up to a month ago I would have said this is a good product as its tidied up the hose and reel functions well. Unfortunately the quality is poor however as two components have broken in the last month - a plastic connector and a metal connector. I would expect this to be robust / last for years but unfortunately not the case. Will be getting a refund from b&q for the two components.

Fantastic hose wheel.
I bought this wheel over a month ago for my mams back garden, so she doesn't fall over as it was a very long hose. No photos yet though

brilliant
we bought this hose reel due to ares breaking , it's brilliant , the instructions were clean and easy to attach to are outside brick wall , the reel can tun so it can go flat against the wall so looks a lot neater, the reel its self is very easy to use and handle is very sturdy. it's a lot easier to reel in and stays tight , I would definitely recommend this product
