This product is perfect quality .
It does exactly what it states on the tin.The colour is perfect for my job which was painting an outdoor metal bench.

Great coverage - easy to use - dries within 4 hours - I needed two coats on my garage door but I did thin coats as suggested.

Excellent results
Easy to use. Gives excellent results, but the brush is uncleanable. You need to budget a new brush for each time Hammerite is used.

quality product, easy to use
Quality product easy to use on our outdoor table and chairs, one coat was sufficient to leave a shinny hammer effect, leaving the items a standout feature in the garden

Formula changed
The formula changed about ten years ago. They still call it hammerite but it has new owners and although it claims to be high in VOCs it might as well be latex-based. I covered some gaps 24 hours ago and went to check it expecting the finish to be as tough as the original paint around it. You can literally scrape it off with your fingernail. I now have to decide whether to demand a refund or trust the claim that it will last for "eight years". If I go ahead and do the whole job and find it rusting again by next Spring the word "furious" will not begin to describe how I will feel.

Great paint and great colour
This paint went on brilliantly to our iron bench. Was perfect for our refurbishment of an older bench. Paint applies well and drys with a great finish. The sun catches the sheen really well.
