Pretty good overall
I had this installed by an expert 3 weeks ago (He's so good I waited a year until he was free to do it) and fitting was straightforward with no problems, and the plumber liked it. The design and general build quality is decent and, unlike most modern toilets, the flush is excellent and lives up to the company's promises. The seat is also good and fairly easy to fit. One reason I deducted a star is because when it was all done, what appeared to be a dirty mark on the front of the cistern turned out to be a one inch blotted flaw under the glaze. I informed the company but didn't bother to pursue it further as it was impactical to replace the cistern once installed. The other reason is that the excellent smooth flush button developed a creak after two weeks, although it continues to function normally.

Very poor quality
We were renovating our property and purchased two of these aquablade toilets. That was three months ago and we've had nothing but problems with them. Firstly when the cistern was filling it leaked into the pan so never stopped filling. We had the plumber back twice and he was unable to fix the fault so replaced the flushing system with brass ones instead of the cheap plastic rubbish supplied. Then the hinges on the toilet seat broke and will need replacing. The plumber commented on how poor a quality these toilets are given they are top of the range.

Poor flush power
I paid a premium price to buy this so called "revolutionary" product. It really is a good looking piece, but I bought it for functionality and I felt that the flush should have more power cleaning the pan. I truely regret buying it after seeing the gentleman calling it the most advanced flushing system. The water does come from all the directions however the pressure is so poor that it does not clean it properly. Be prepared to clean the pan every time with brush if you buy this!

Great Toilet Just Don't Contact Ideal For Support
Just got this delivered a few days ago and it didn't come with any fitting instructions or help in any way. Contacted Ideal and told them of my trouble and they said they don't have any fitting instructions for this model, which is very poor. They sent me generic plans which were okay but an actual PDF of the product I spent £300 on would be better. Useless customer service and so will have to buy fittings on guess work. Don't get me wrong the toilet is very well made and looks the part, just when you need a little help...D.I.Y

Good Toilet - instructions need updating
Pleased with this toilet, however the instructions need updating because they are wrong! The hidden fixings need to be fixed to the floor first before final toilet installation, but the dimensions given in the instructions place the fixings too far apart for this design of pan. I foolishly obeyed these instructions to the letter and then had to re-drill and re-fix with my own measurements once the problem came to light. So don't use the dimensions given, do your own measurements! Apart from that the toilet behaves well and has a good flush. The soft close seat is OK - not sure how long it will last though - you can hear the mechanism graunching away as you lift it (slowly!).

Good all round product
I spent more on this toilet than intended but once fitted it looks great and flushes well. Not difficult to fit and has a good system of screwing it to the floor.

Awesome flush!
Having seen this in store we bought this before Xmas and fitted ourselves. It comes in three parts - cistern, pan and seat direct from manufacturer within a week. The cistern is fitted out for you which is nice (but remember to check the tightness of the locking ring before you fit it - I forgot and it was not quite tight enough) so an easyish fit. We used a flexible soil pipe in the end as it was easier all round. I have to say the flush is as good as it looks on the website for Ideal Standard and very easy to clean. The seat is soft close and I was hoping quick release, but apparently not. It is easy to remove though for cleaning. We live in a very hard water area so I am hoping this flush will avoid the demise of the last toilet. In the mean time this is one good looking toilet with an awesome flush!
