Happy in general but some niggles
Unboxing, it felt like a second. The large flush entry hole in the basin was way off-centre, and whilst the cistern has mounted and is leak-free, it is about 4mm off-centre. The cistern lid doesn't sit quite central, either. In certain lights, it is clear that the cistern is a very slightly different colour than the basin. There were no instructions in the box, which made setting up the flush valve a challenge. It's an unbranded flush valve, but I wanted to use the flush valve as it came with a quite attractive flush knob branded "Ideal Standard". Anyway, searching the web for 'Veebath' revealed the instructions eventually. It is an decent looking unit, I think, despite the slightly off-centre assembly - quality control lacking, I think. I didn't use the seat that came with it, as I wanted a wooden seat. Depending on the clutter around your soil pipe, you might a top-fix seat, as the sides do somewhat obstruct access to the rear of the seat fixing holes. We've had no problems with the soiling reported by some other reviewers; in fact, it's better than the old one, and the other toilet in that respect. Flush is very positive and again, much better than the old one. I didn't use the supplied fill valve as I thought it didn't look particularly maintainable but as mentioned, the flush valve seems decent enough once you find out how to adjust full/half flush, etc.

Could not find a good one
I bought this toilet and had to return it due to cracks in the bottom of the sump through which it appeared the glaze had bled through during firing. It also had various bits of debris fired into the glaze in one of the floor mounting holed and the outlet tube, plus it had an unround outlet tube, and the tube was laterally out of position leaving a sharp flat edge inside for waste to gather against, plus it was only partly glazed in the outlet chamber. Other than that it looked good quality, especially the cistern internals. So I took it back and got a replacement, but that turned out to have a huge fault in that the cistern outlet pipe would not engage into the pan because the outlet pipe was about 3/4" forward of the securing bolt centres, and the pan hole into which it goes was about 1/4" to the real of the securing hole centres, meaning it could not be inserted, no way no how. The pan also rocked when placed on the floor. It also had a large lump of fired-in debris and faulty glazing in the outlet chamber. The washdown holes around the rim also had numerous razor sharp protruding edges (which would slice when cleaning). So I took that one back too, and then checked out 2 more (in a different store... twice burnt already) and found that with a push I could get the cisterns to assemble to those pans but only just, meaning the securing bolts were pushed back grating against the back of the mounting holes and a good chunk of the pan inlet hole would not be adequately covered by the sealing washer. One pan also had an unround outlet tube. Both toilets were in previously open boxes in bad condition and I was told by the store they had been there for some time. Interestingly when I returned the second of the toilets (telling the staff that the toilet simply could not be put together), the store had no replacement stock at the time, but the next morning their website showed 1 in stock....... Hmmm, what's the chance... Maybe I've just been very unlucky, or perhaps just scraping the barrel of their current stock. I spoke to Ideal Standard about all the faults and they said they weren't aware of any design faults with the Vue or production problems, and even offered to have one specially checked and sent over, but they didn't have stock at the time. In case you were wondering about my persistence here - I have very specific requirements very tricky side entry waste position (so needed very open back design), wanted something modern looking, didn't want a separate overflow, and wanted decent quality. The vue seemed to fit the bill, but alas I will now have to look elsewhere. Can't comment on the toilet soiling problem mentioned by others as I never managed to get one installed and flushing...

Very pleased with this toilet
Fairly easy to install. Very pleased with the toilet which works well. There was a problem with the cistern which overfilled but it was easily adjusted and now works perfectly. Also good water economy and flushes well. There were no instructions in the box but I emailed the company and was immediately emailed a copy of the instructions.

Quality and design is poor.
No fitting instructions were in the box, pan design results in lots of skid marks, persistent leak from the right hand coupling thread and wing nut, rough finish to the waste outlet pipe, hidden trap points in the waste outlet path, non visible chip on the inside of the cistern, and inlet pipe could do with being longer. Cistern should be watertight - item not fit for purpose and has caused a considerable waste of time.

Disappointed
We purchased 2 units of this model for my recently done extension. One of them constantly leak water like a waterfall from flusing unit into WC unit. Intially my builder thought its to do with adjusting the overflow mechanism inside flush unit. Later this was discovered the unit has manufacturing defect. We purchased this looking at good reviews but turns out to be a disappointment. Now we need to run B&Q to find out how to get this fixed or replaced. This is going to be stressful task and valuable time wastage!

Very happy!
Very pleased with the look of the toilet. My plumber commented that I’d chosen a good quality, well made toilet, so obviously I’m pleased as he installs them for a living so must see plenty.

Good & bad... be careful!
There's a good deal of quality in this product for the price but also some poor design & poor quality control. The washer that seals the connection between the cistern and pan is poorly designed, under-sized and failed on our unit, spilling a large amount of water all over our brand new wooden floor. We replaced this with Wirquin 2" clopse-coupled rubber washer of a far superior design which was a far better fit and gave you confidence that it wasn't going to leak. Then we found the waste outlet pipe at the back of the pan was poorly moulded so that it was impossible to get a reliable leak-free seal into the pan waste connector. No amount of Plumbers Mait would fix this. Unfortunately we only found this out after the initial flushes - thankfully nothing other than clean water had gone through it... But we're now left with holes in the floor, holes in the wall and a toilet that's back in its box ready to return. Plus the bill from the plumber for fitting and then removing the toilet. If you buy this part, upgrade your washer and check the outlet pipe is neatly moulded. If the above issues can be resolved, it still feels like a quality item. We plan to replace it with the same one but only so that the replacement unit fits the holes in the floor and the holes in the wall that we now have.

Good quality, easy fit, but soils easily!
Bought this as part of a complete refer of our en-suite. Good quality, easy to fit, although there was an issue with the reach of the soil pipe as ours comes in from the side and I had to buy a 'Swan Neck' adapter that cost another £14. However I DO agree that this toilet soils very easily due to the outlet being in the middle, not at the back!

Room for improvement
I bought this toilet as I liked the design and quality, though there is a massive issue with the design inside the toilet. I agree with an earlier review as the back of the toilet does need cleaning ............. Apart from that its ok.
