This is not a DIY product people!!
Can't believe the amount of negative feedback that's been given, don't blame the fire, you get what you pay for!!.. If you want a job done properly, find a specialist firm that's able to supply and install and look after the whole package.

Don’t touch with a barge pole
We bought this product and have barely used it as we have central heating. Must have put it on 10 times mainly to show people when we first got it. It now won’t work and we are told it needs the most expensive part for the unit at nearly £200. We bought the Fire from B&Q but are being fobbed off to sirocco fires who are harder to get hold of than lord Lucan. Don’t even think about purchasing it.

Avoid at all costs, waste of money
Absolutely useless. I had mine fitted for less than a couple of months before it developed faults. Scirocco have not refunded me the cost of the 2 gas engineer visits plus the cost of posting my fire tray to them for inspection. I am £230 further out of pocket. And they didn't even find the fault, I had to replace the faulty power supply with one of my own. Do not buy!

Ugly Gap around fire
I am posting this here to help other users so they do not make my expensive mistake. I purchased the 600 width unit, but I think this will be the same with this unit. This is a frameless fire - but it has an ugly 1/2 gap around the edges. I now have to take my fire out. This gap is not visible in the photographs on the site. Otherwise this fire seems fine.

Disgusted
After 2wks off arguing bck n forth with B&Q, fire manufacturers saying this is a framless fire... No where in this advertising does it say its framless... After paying builder & registered gas man to install nearly £1000 to fit fire I still have an eyesore instead of feature... Absolutely disgusting how this can be aloud when gas settings can clearly be tampered wit h by children... Health & safety risk... Can't even let children into living room. Do not touch this product!!

Modern fire
I love my fire, it heats our lounge very quickly. It's so stylish. I'm still waiting for the frame for my fire, (almost 1 year)
