Gentle clam
So if you need a firm grip, then this is not the clamp for you, but if you don’t need.a firm clamp then it does gently hold something in place.

Gripless clumps
I bought a couple of these a while ago and they don't even deserve 1 star, they can't even grip toffee.

To the merchandisers at B&Q... You have this clamp described as 38mm but it is in fact a 50mm model. Put it right or I will tell on you. Regards, John.
