Expensive

Comes with very little oil that soaks into the stone before you can clap your hands. The stone itself is ok, but wears quickly. I tuned up 4 chisels, and there is already a valley in the centre. The guide is bad. One of the jaws is convex. The jaws are badly designed and one corner of the chisel is always up in the air when the other is touching the stone. What im trying to say is that the chisel turns in the guide.The silver part you turn fell off the first time i used it, it is only lightly pushed on a knurled surface.. I drilled a hole through it and the shaft, and inserted a broken drill bit. It now works superbly. The screw works smoothly.Works well once you get used to it.

Not good for a beginner

Found the instructions for using this tool hard to find so thick with paint you could not see them, also the instructions on the card suggest you pull the chisel towards you and lift at the end of the stroke.That would take a long time. No mention of moving it forward. but it will work!

Nifty, simple, straight-forward little gadget, especially for the heavy handed. Takes the guess work out of doing it freehand. Put a nice edge on my chisels, glad I bought it.

Not the best

While it sharpens chisels, it does not hold the chisel very well. The worst fault is trying to get the right angle on the chisel, I ended up with different angles, there is no guide or way to get the correct angle, also there wren't any instructions on using the product. Complete waste of money.

Good Chisel Sharpener

Ideal chisel sharpener for general home DIY use. Takes very little time to acheive a nice sharp edge for chisels.
