Great spot light.

I bought this to replace a spot light that dated from possibly the 1980s it was easily installed by an electrician to existing wiring,it looks good and gives light to where you want to by swiveling the lights.

Cheapish price, cheapish appearance

These are solidly made and looks more expensive, but unfortunately the folding arms easily bend away from horizontal so they droop down. Also the whole thing rocks on the 2 screws which fix the main fitting to the wiring box, so its hard to get the arms parallel to the ceiling (a 3 screw fitting would have prevented this). Bulbs are tricky to change and need a sucker to grab the face and turn it free, but that's the same with all these fittings.

Very difficult to connect

The terminal block is fixed within the unit making it extremely hard to wire up if your existing wiring has little slack. Still haven't managed to get it fitted after a couple of frustrating hours!

Solid product

I bought these to replace similar ones from 5 years ago in my kitchen that had fallen apart from cooking fat and heat. I found these to be well built and solid with plenty of room for the connections. They look to be lasting some better time that the last ones I had for a similar price. They have only been in a month now but still look good. But don't loose the rubber sucker to change the bulbs or you will be stuck.

Inexpensive lighting solution

I have had three of these fittings in my kitchen for the past seven years or so and have just bought a new one as one of the old fittings popped as I fitted a new bulb. I was pleased to have the option in store of buying the fitting in a box at the price mentioned on the website or shrink wrapped in at £8 less than the boxed price. I have used the fitting with halogen bulbs, and the bulbs did not last long (assuming this is because there is no soft start technology in GU10 fittings) I then switched to GU10 CFL bulbs which reduced the power consumption and massively extended the life of the bulbs, as the CFLs fail, I am gradually moving to LED GU10 bulbs which are great, with a very low energy use and massive life.

WORST LIGHTS EVER

I bought two of these lights 2 month's ago Have only put one up and have used TWELVE bulbs already. Needless to say the other one will NOT be used. And as I've had the fitting more than 45 days will not be able to take it back So look's like it'll be going straight in the bin WASTE of money.
