Fitting tips
They are nice looking lamps, but the glass shades are very thin and fragile, not unlike Xmas tree decorations. Having just installed two of these lamps I can agree with the comments regarding the difficulties of assembly. Here are some tips. Bend the u-shaped fitting tool out a bit so that it then clips into and firmly holds the screw-in fittings for the glass shades, and make sure you are holding the light so that each lamp fitting is vertical when you screw the holder in. If there is any resistance, take it out and start again. If you are using traditional halogen lamps I would also suggest you fit them in before fitting the shades. For wiring, you can prize open the connection box using a craft knife, and it is easier to take the screw-in wire connector out of the connection box completely when connecting the wires. Also try to rig up something (such as a folding ladder with a few boxes on top of it) to hold the lamp by its body, just below the ceiling, while wiring it in. During the fitting, avoid its weight being supported by the glass shades since I am not convinced they would be strong enough for this.

Lovely light fitting. Tricky to install.
We bought this product last week. My husband took great care when fitting it but the tool slipped during attachment and punched a hole in the shade. Having read the reviews since, I realise others have had the same problem. The light fitting is now up. It looks good and gives a lovely light. I would like a replacement shade as the broken one is now taped together. However, having gone into the B and Q Blackpool I was told they couldn’t do anything about it and to try online. I note others have asked the question but there has been no response.

Wouldn’t recommend
The tool to fix the shades on is so difficult to use…not sure how I didn’t smash the glass, very poor design. Installed just before Christmas and 3 bulbs have gone already…despite it having six bulbs it’s a very dull light, absolutely would not recommend

If you are easily stressed do not buy this!
This light fitting is poorly designed.the tool to tighten the shades to the fitting is virtually impossible to use,why the securing nut for the shade is not attached to the shade in the first place I'll never know it would make life so much easier.The nuts easily cross thread when trying to tighten.Ended up shattering a shade whilst fiddling with the stupid tool.The electrical connector is inside a box,its easier to break into fort Knox than get into this!28w maximum bulbs not powerful enough to light a room.all in all a fantastic waste of money👍

OK but …
Looks good, easy to install. But not as bright as I wanted. And halogen light bulbs, which are fiddly to replace, don’t last long - installed 5 months ago and 4 bulbs have gone already.
