A no more painting - 5 / 5 - 28/08/2024

Ok

It done what it was supposed to do. Painted well and that's all folks.

Really poor

I bought this as my son wanted his gaming room all black, so reluctantly I prepared the new door frame, architrave and skirting boards for painting. the frame is new pine and the skirts and architrave are new MDF. I opened the tin and stirred the very thin paint for a good three minutes, I would probably say that the consistency is like good washing up liquid. Unfortunately the paint isn't very good coverage at all, especially all the edges of the surfaces where I was struggling to get any paint to stick. After 24 hours I lightly sanded the surfaces, cleaned them down and repainted them. The paint did take better on the flat surface but the edges I was still struggling with, I certainly didn't want to overload the surface as it would definitely leave runs and drips. Throughout my refurbishment I've used other branded white undercoats on the exact same surfaces and had perfect results so I'm going to ditch this product and never touch this brand again!

Good paint

Used this on metal external doors following rust treatment and primer application. The application was easy and finish smooth for the gloss coat. Watch out for the drips!
