Spikes of red flowers in late Summer. Flowers year after year.
- Soil moisture: Well drained
- Flowering period: July-September, Planting period: March-May
- Remove faded flowers to prolong flowering. Top dress with a general purpose plant food as the last flowers fade. Allow foliage to die down naturally. Lift and divide clumps of bulbs in spring. Dig soil improver and bonemeal into the planting area before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole.
