Great value and looks great
Bought 2 for the hall too replace same in white look much posher in chrome finish and easy to fit.

Looks nice, straightforward to fit, easy to damage
Bought this fitting to replace a much older white one of the same design. It looks nice, but we had to return two of them before we found one that didn't have a scratch in the chrome, so make sure you check it carefully. It comes with screws, but unhelpfully it came with masonry plugs, advising you to get alternative plugs if fitting to plasterboard etc. IT IS A CEILING LIGHT, besides people living in bunkers, almost everyone buying one of these will be fitting it to plasterboard or wooden joists (which don't need plugs) so this seems like a bizarre decision. The hole in the top is just wide enough for a single cable, so you need a ceiling rose or junction box above. Despite being more work than I expected to fit, it does look good once it's in, and it's only a tenner.

Mis Leading
I brought 2 of these fittings. They are described as being ideal for bathrooms. I installed one in our bathroom and one in our shower room. All good you might say, until our electrician came in to complete the yearly safety check and I was advised that the fitting is not rated adequately to be installed in the bathroom. They are expected to be rated as IPx4 minimum rating, these fittings appear to have no rating (no seals) at all. Not happy!!!

Poor design / quality of connections
Bought this last night and it is going back today. The wiring screws in the lamp holder just won't grip the cable. Judging by other reviews this seems a common problem.

Awful, awful, awful
Do not buy this light - you have been warned. Ridiculously difficult to fit, poor quality. I will not buy anymore lights from B&Q.

Looks more expensive than it is.
I bought this light fitting for a small cloakroom with a low ceiling. It gives a nice soft light and the chrome effect surround makes it look stylish. I bought another one for a small bedroom because I was so pleased with it and at only £10 it is a bargain.

Beautiful light
I have bought this light with the chrome surround and it looks fab. I chose this time to get the White surround. I am replacing ceiling lights in the hall and landing. These are just fantastic and well up to the standard of the chrome ones. How do they do it ? Such good quality and so inexpensive...well done !
