Not 4.9 m max length!
I was using this yesterday. It's very sturdy in both A frame and 'single length' mode. I felt confident working on it. However I should add that one of the reasons that I bought it was the advertised 4.9m max length. I wanted to clean my guttering. But the 4.9m is the reach that you have when standing on the ladder fully extended. So the actual ladder max length is shorter than that. The upshot is that I will be buying another stepladder for the guttering. I will be contacting B&Q about this misleading product information

Useful piece of kit
I bought this ladder to cope with reaching awkward areas decorating hall and stairs. Did the job very well. Feels very stable and was easy to use. A bit heavy but would rather have strong and heavy than light and flimsy.

Excellent value for such a long ladder, needed to find something to paint my Mount Everest stairwell ceiling, highly recommend to anyone.

Sturdy
I run my own business as a Gardener and needed another ladder which was robust on uneven ground and this although a bit weighty does the job well.
