Decent saw but laser not working
Bought this about 5 months ago from B&Q. I am quite happy about the quality of the cuts it makes, although, it has not be used significantly i.e. weekend DIY as opposed to trade. The laser has a plastic cover over the top which isn't sealed very well so saw dust gets behind it and clogs it up blocking the light, so I have had to remove the plastic cover a few times and clean it out. However, that has become less of an issue as later, as the laser on mine has stopped working, which makes it more difficult lining up. Although I am happy with the saw and its robustness, I will be talking mine back due to the laser, but will be looking to obtain a replacement of the same saw. I would give it 3.5 stars if the option was there.

Robust, good value compound mitre saw
I'm a hobbyist and have been using the saw for about 3 weeks. I am delighted. It's robust, accurate so far, very well built and comfortable to use. The features I like are: - horizontal saw handle with trigger and release - good saw capacity - accurate laser - detachable workpiece support on the left: this has a roller built in and is a solid alloy casting - the right side support has a multi position stop which can be 'micro-adjusted'. The adjustment knob is a trifle stiff and the stop has some play in it - depending on how you deploy it - the mitre degree scale is cast into the base I DON'T like: - dust collection is very poor - even with a good vacuum attached, most of the sawdust ends up on the workbench - the bevel scale had partially peeled off in the box, so I retrieved the situation by applying a longer length of clear adhesive tape over the scale and sticking this down - the right side end stop has a lot play when pulled up out of the alloy mount. The stop can be put in any of three positions on the mount and two of these are quite loose. Overall - excellent bit of kit with which I am very pleased
