Better in some ways worse in others

I have been using the older version of this for ages (borrowed) which works a treat for cutting flooring etc so decided to purchase one myself. It is very similar but with a bit more power which will be welcome. It is much chunkier to hold, so not suitable for small hands whereas my daughter had been using the old one at her house. Does have an easier to use trigger though. No variable speed on this newer model, and disappointingly no case. I nearly took it back to buy the Erbauer one which has variable speed and case but was more expensive but then read reviews of that one so kept it, but I hate tools without cases or anywhere to store the accessories.

Out of box experience

I bought one today. It looks good but there was no manual in the box, as shown in the video. I have not been able to download one so far.

Does The Job But Not Easily

Bought this to cut away some floor which it did pretty well but couldn't get in tight places so limited where it can be used. I also used it to cut some paving slabs which it did very well with the Diamond blade and cutting from both sides. The really awkward bit was being able to operate the base release lever and the start lever at the same time which can be Very difficult especially at the start of the cut. I expect this becomes impossible if you're wearing gloves as they say you should. I'd look for one which is easier to use and try it out in store to make sure.

Great mini saw

I have used the Mac Allister mini saw and it was easy to use and used it to cut some plywood and it was great.

Struggles to cut 18mm floor boards

The saw itself struggles to cut 18mm floor boards. On top of that the blade size is 76mm not the standard 85mm so spare blades aren’t easy to come by.
