Mac Allister Mlmp450Hp40
I bought my Mac Allister Mlmp450Hp40 from B&Q at Bilston on the 1st of May 2019. The mower has worked very well, and is still working well on the date of this review, 29th June 2023. There seems to be a problem though. The blade, with the part No. DAYE26300100401 listed at 40 cm seems impossible to find in all the Searches I've done so far. The ones listed are either too short or too long, and none saying they will fit the Mac Allister Mlmp450Hp40. From reading other peoples reviews it seems I am not the only one having trouble finding parts for this lawnmower. I am beginning to wonder if it was just made as a one off product for B&Q, so as once the Blade, in my case, was finished, you had to buy a new mower. I rated the Product Quality - Value For Money - Ease Of Use, 5 Stars as I've had 4 years good service from the machine, but if I had the choice, I would rate Parts Replacement as Minus 10. Somebody needs a good kick up the backside for this!

Reliable little workhorse: where can I get spares?
Had this since last year and no real problems at all. Only niggle is petrol cap thread not great so cap can work loose - I just check before starting and check every time i empty the box. Question for B&Q - can I get a spare blade anywhere? Cant seem to find one

poor quality
I bought this around 2weeks ago used twice and its not very good at picking up grass, the front wheel also came loose, as this is fixed molded we had to return to store for a refund.

It been brilliant
I purchased the powered drive mower, took a lot of criticism from friends and those who “know about these things” 6 years later after only having to put fuel in it’s still going strong. One down side is the macallister label has fell off, no biggy. It’s been really really good nothing flimsy about it at all, stand on me.

Good Little Mower
I have had this product for 3 years and have used it as a back up mower for small lawns in my gardening business so it probably cuts 6 lawns a week so it probably had 12 times the use of the usual homeowner and so far has lasted 3 years (36 years for home owner). Its an excellent machine Ive had no trouble with it apart from it will struggle to pick up and collect wet grass but at this time I usually defer to my Honda (which is£500+). You get what you pay for but it is good value for money

Troubleshooting starting
I bought this product yesterday and what can I say, took a long time to get started (including a call to the engine makers to get it going) however, she managed to tackle some long grass and left the lawn looking much more neat and tidy, much to the delight of my wife. However the grass catcher is very small and resulted in many trips to the compost pile!
