I've only ever tiled twice. I mix in quarter batches and don't have a problem. You do need to be fast as it is rapid set, but this suits me. I have still had time to remove tiles and reset if not quite right, but I work fast at things anyway. My partner is not as quick as me and it tends to go off mid application for him. I personally wouldnt buy anything else, you can walk on it after a few hrs, but I still dont for at least a day. Very strong and workable, if you mix correctly. If its too stiff add only the smallest amount of water or it will go too sloppy, however just the right amount and you get a little longer to work with it. Perfect!

I sadly previously bought a unibond floor adhesive so had to rip up the floor and relay ... but thats another story. Bought this after reading the reviews. This adhesive is brilliant, laid the floor beautifully, easy to mix and work with and can walk on within a few hours as advertised. 5*
Great For Brick Slips
GixerLass1972 - 6 months ago
I bought this the other day as I am doing my chimney breast with brick slips. After reading the reviews for the same product that was tub form (ready mixed), and seeing the low score it had, I decided to chance it with this stuff. Glad I did! It’s excellent for what I’m doing. I just butter the backs of the brick slips and stick them on! Doing small batches at a time though. They stick to the walls with no problem whatsoever! Using my own calculations as far as water/product ratios go. As long as you don’t plaster the stuff on way too thick then it’s great! Haven’t had a problem with slippage OR brick slips coming off the wall. I would definitely use this again.

It is grey, it is rapid set and it is easy to use, in other words is it exactly what it says it is. Making the mix a little wetter than the guidelines produces the best results and as a bonus extends the working time slightly. Pacing yourself is the key, don't mix too much at once and you don't have to rush (this should be self evident, but, considering some of the reviews....)

Been tiling for 12 years.
Used it for the first time yesterday, returned to the job today and multiple tiles are loose.
I did all the necessary prep work.
Should have just stuck (pardon the pun) with Bal.
if you want a quality adhesive you know will work just get Bal.
