Diddnt Trip and almost caused a fire!
Used this for a long extension lead that was routed through the wall to outside and kept it inside so it would protect the whole extension lead. Worked very well for around 4 weeks but then my wife noticed a strange smell coming from it, only after picking the RCD socket up (burning my hand in the process) did i realise it had melted. Very dangerous and B&Q need to seriously think of pulling this item as its primary goal is to prevent what happened and potentially save lives, instead it put my whole family's life at risk.

Bought to connect a hot tub to the mains. Nice piece, plug of target device is connected to the orange section at base of photo. This connector is hinged and locable. No messing about, plug and play.

Could be your life-saver
Excellent, robust piece of saftety equipment. Reviewing this as a time served fully qualified electrical engineer, I honestly dont think you will get a better quality piece of equipment manufactured anywhere else on the market at this price.

Great RCD
I used to use an extension reel with a built in RCD for outside work but since I have had external sockets fitted to my house, the reel no longer fits. This RCD has a normal plug that fits the sockets, and the actual RCD is about half way along the extension making it very easy to use.

A really handy item to have
I bought two of these to use for outside work and i really like i them. The individual price on the items trip box and socket were around £10 pound each by far more than the price of this unit (another factor for the purchase), and with Masterplug you know you have got a good product. Will always buy Masterplud until i get problems with them.

Masterplug converter lead RDC protection
I strongly recommend the Masterplug converter lead for safety reasons. I use the lead when using my electric shredder chain saw and electric strummer as well as all my other power tools in or out doors. Without fear of receiving an electric shock, it is easy to connect to your extension lead and have confidence of it not becoming disconnected accidentally. It shows you when the power is on. I can also switch the converter to any one of my other size extension leads or connect it directly to the equipment I am using.
