Do not buy.. Dangerous!
Do not buy.. Very dangerous!! Do not buy this torch from B&Q. I did and when I got home I followed the instructions and put in 6, fresh out of the packet, AA batteries and out it all back together again. Switched it on and was very impressed. About 20 minutes later I noticed the torch was on very faintly and the light was pulsing. I checked the switch and it was turned off but still lit up. I turned the torch on and it became full brightness but was still pulsing. I turned it off and again it stayed lit up albeit very dull. I took the bottom off it to check the connections, because maybe I had put one of the batteries in wrong and below in the pictures is what I found. It looks like the battery pack has shorted out and cooked all 6 batteries to the point they oxidised and leaked inside the torch housing.. I can only imagine the state I would have found this in had I left it in the cupboard over night. The only reason I hadn't was because like a child I was waiting till it was dark to play with my new toy.. Please, please take note and steer clear of this torch. Especially if you have young children and they like to play with torches. I dread to think what could have happened!
