Not expensive and works
Every time I buy a dimmer switch they seem to have changed This one you push in to switch on and off and then turn to dim Easy to fit and works perfectly well but has a bit of a cheap feel to it

Problem solved!
We installed a standard dimmer in a bedroom but the back box was clearly too shallow, which is apparently a common problem, and I wasn't happy about the wires being so squashed as I'm sure this is a safety issue. I knew there must be some alternative to replacing the box with a deeper one (a major hassle), although our local electrical factors tried to tell me otherwise, and then I found this dimmer. Although the description doesn't mention it, there is an extension ring included in the pack with the dimmer. This just gives a little extra depth for the wiring and solves the problem. The light level doesn't go just quite as low as the previous dimmer but it's absolutely fine. Yes, as another review said, there is a very slight buzzing but you can't hear it unless your ear is pressed to the dimmer - not something I do normally! A nicely shaped switch, easy to install, feels more solid than the previous (cheaper) one, and solves our back box problem. This switch also has the advantage that you can rotate to the desired light level and then switch off and on at that level without having to reset the level each time. It also cannot be left on yet appear to be off, as the cheaper one could, which is good - you can always see if it has been left on. I shall buy more!

Best Price but buzzy
Best price around for typical good quality MK dimmer, very neat, simple lines but good looking. Only disappointment is it still gives a slight buzzing sound even when used with a standard bulb.
