Brilliant little mower
I keep it serviced and in good order and it’s great for doing the little gardens down stairs and with limited access I can’t fault it at all good on fuel nice and light weight no problems at all

Very poor, returned 2 within a month
First machine, the blade decided to separate from the machine at full speed ! Lucky I didn’t lose my foot ! Second machine lasted 3 weeks before the non-adjustable throttle cable stretched, resulting in the machine being unable to start. Both returned. Will stay away from Mountfield in future

good little mower
I bought this 3 years ago and it is still going well, it gets used 2-3 times a week in the summer and it starts first time every time. good value mower

Lasted just over 2 years
Very unpredictable to start. Better off investing in battery powered ones now. Stopped working all together.

Don’t bother
We bought this several weeks ago (May 21) at first it was great no problems then after 3 cuts it just stopped working.

Starts first time...for 20 seconds.
Bought this because it looked like a bargain. It isn't. You will however develop quite some arm muscles pulling that chord over and over again.

Dont buy
If you leave fuel in it, it will start but not stay running. That makes it problematic enough (i.e draining it) but there is just a screw under the carburetor, meaning when you undo it fuel goes everywhere. If you want a mower that will run once a week, this isnt the one for you.

Useless Mountfield Brand Engine
Don't buy a Mountfield that does not have a Briggs & Stratton engine. Mine has failed regularly and the service agent advises they wouldn't touch these with the proverbial barge pole.

rubbish - do not buy.
Bought this on 5th May and now 5 weeks later I still cant get it started first time. It takes at least 10 pulls before it starts - if you are lucky. Neither B&Q or Mountfield will take it back despite being within B&Qs 45 day return period - avoid this like the plague
