Petrol Lawnmower
Bought this lawn mower to replace old Briggs & Stratton mower, excellent mower, really reliable, starts 1st time every time, the quality of both the stiga engine and mount field frame, really glad I choose this one, reviews were mixed, better than Briggs mower

Grass collector flimsy
I've had an older model of this mower that has new given up the ghost after many years. I had a good look at this model in-store as a like-for-like replacement but discarded it because of the ridiculously flimsy grass collector. I opted in the end for a Toro which, although more expensive is at a completely different level in terms of build quality (it cuts beautifully too).

Avoid
Blade boss (bit the blade attaches to) has worn down and failed after about 7 uses (small garden) so now the blade just spins off. Waiting (3 weeks) replacement part from servicelink. They said it failed as a safety feature (I've used this type of lawnmower for > 15 years and never needed such a 'safety' feature) but agreed to send replacement part for free as mower < 6 months old. Sounds like an admission of part failure to me. Failed part is cheap casting - seems others online with same problem. Now to work out how to remove the blade boss...

Manufacture fault Grass collector
The machine itself is Probably good. only used 3 to 4 times, although there is a manufacture issue with the grass collector and will not stay on the machine when cutting the grass and will not hold grass into it. you will be every 2 minutes trying to fix the grass collector as falls off the machine. I would not recommend to buy this model at all as leads to frustration and kicking the machine when ever used.

Collection Box Problem
The collection box comes in two parts, which just puch together!! Theres no click for a secure fitting so consequently , before the box is even HALF full of grass it falls apart!!! VERY ANNOYING!!!

Always problems
Had this mower about 4 years and it’s great when up and running but always a nightmare to start. Works fab one time then won’t start the next. Had it serviced and always use fresh fuel. Stored in dry environment but just rubbish! Would definitely not recommend

Infuriating design - avoid
As other reviewers have said, it would be a decent mower if it weren't for for fact the rubber clasps holding the collection box together persistently come apart while mowing, causing the box to collapse when it's barely half full, spilling grass everywhere and needing to be re-assembled. Quite astonishing how such a simple and essential feature can be implemented so badly. Also, not impassable but annoying nonetheless: the tightening bolts that adjoin the handles to the longer top handle piece (with the clutch lever) are quite useless - they are supposed to turn the two lengths of handle into one long handle with which you can direct the mower and raise it up, but they're impossible to tighten properly. So while you're mowing, if you push down on the handles with the intention of raising the mower up, that's not what happens; you simply bend the top handle downwards in an upside down V shape. It's 2021, right? Not good at all.
