Super Mower
This mower is excellent. Motor driven so no effort when mowing the lawn. Highly recommend this make and model.

Disappointed Gardner.
The clutch mechanism is useless, There is no smooth engagement, stop to full speed ahead with the slightest movement of the control bar. Very disappointed and will be happy to replace it after six months. It is also a very heavy weight and difficult to manouvere for for an 81year old.

Great first petrol mower
I wanted a petrol mower as I was about to start a small scale gardening business. Lots of research including visiting my local (Hayter) garden machinery store. Spec wish list boiled own to a reliable, easy-start engine, steel deck (as read some bad reviews about plastic decks), light-weight to be able to lift out of vehicle, self-propelled to alleviate pushing and well-known make should it need spares. Took the plunge and bought the Mountfield over the Hayter as the Hayter was quite a lot more expensive. So, ... a month in and still pleased with the Mountfield. Starts well, cuts well and even gets a stripe effect even though it doesn't have a roller. One disappointment is that the handles are not folding which I didn't realise until assembled. Propelled rive works well. Grass box is sufficiently large, power if fine and it does what is it supposed to. Haven't tried it in mulching mode yet but the attachment is there. Don't forget to buy 1 litre of mower engine oil as it does not come with any, which I don't understand. Overall, happy with it.
