Broken within week.
I bought this and it split within a week. B&Q staff were very helpful as I didn't have the receipt but knew the day I bought it so found it on the system. They were out of stock so refunded and I ordered a new one on the Internet. We love this seat as we are a family of beach lovers. Shame it broke as it could be a 5 star item.

Nice to look at but that's about it!!
I bought this seat in April within a couple of weeks the hinges broke every 5 mins we have to fix them now they won't go on anymore & the seat has snapped avoid disappointment looks good but terrible product! Won't buy again

Love the design
This was to replace one of the same design bought 18 months ago. Unfortunately, one of the hinges had broken beyond repair. I purchased the same design as I really like it and because the way the hinges are attached has been modified by the makers.

Looks great - but breaks easily
We have had 2 of these seats and both have broken within a matter of weeks. The screws and glue holding the lid to the seat are just not big/strong enough and they break off with the slightest knock.

snapped again
bought this seat 18 months ago after one week it snapped i got a exchange no problem but now that one has also snapped

New improved hinges!!
I really liked this seat and was reluctant to buy it after some of the reviews, but when I went to B&Q to have a look, the box said the hinges had been improved, so I bit the bullet and bought one. It was easy to fit and looks brilliant. ** Word of caution - check inside the box before you buy. When I got home the seat I had bought was snapped! I took it back to exchange and had to check 3 seats before finding one that was intact. It was exchanged, no questions, but may not be the most robust seat in the world - mine has been in situ (still intact!) for two weeks now but may not be suitable if you've got small kids or clumsy family members...

Awful toilet seat
I brought this 4 weeks ago and my 3 year old sat onit and it snapped not impressed!

looks brilliant and expensive
looks really cool and works well in our little beached themed wash room. However like a lot of toilet seats these days the hinges are rubbish and not built to last. shame really or it would have got 5 stars. we have had it 18mths and had 5 new hinges on it up to now, i dont want to throw it as it looks fab.

bOUGHT THIS SEAT FOR A THEMED SEASIDE DOWNSTAIRS TOILET AND IT LOOKS GREAT.. PITY IT'S NOT SOFT CLOSE .. BUT GREAT OTHERWISE!

Good seat, lousy hinges!
This seat is surprisingly good quality and looks good, but the hinges have let it down badly. The depth of thread for the retaining bolts is very minimal and as a result, they keep dropping off as the seat is used. I'm now going to have to try to get replacement hinges to fix on and remove the existing ones. Really annoying!
