• Wall preparation : • Substrate Wall should be properly seasoned, have an appropriate bearing capacity, a constant and uniform structure and should be even, dry and cleaned of paint residues, release agents and greases – unstable coatings should be removed. Installation • Installation of Stone tiles should start with planning their arrangement and measuring the surface both horizontally and vertically, in order to avoid unsightly cuts and inserts in representative, clearly visible places. • During installation, the level of laying of the tile layer and the alignment of vertical joints should be constantly controlled. • The best effect is achieved by gluing successive rows of tiles with an offset of 1/3 or 2/3 of the width of the tile relative to the previous row. Do not glue the tiles one under the other in a vertical row. Seamless Joints. • Adhesives intended for bonding concrete or natural stone cladding, e.g. Flexible Cement based Tile adhesive. • Cutting tiles should be done dry, using a saw with a disc for cutting concrete, reinforced concrete or natural stone. • If the places of cuts remain visible, they can be painted with a colouring impregnation or acrylic paint matched to the colour of the tile. • In the case of Sticking Stone tiles outside on the thermal insulation system, ICF systems etc. the substrate should be properly prepared.
