Difficult to fit

I bought this last week, having bought the handles and realised the mechanisms inside didn't touch and been advised by B&Q that I needed this as well. That was not obvious at point of purchase. They don't do the older style of privacy locks any more. This now needs massively bigger holes in the door and the frame. Despite me normally being able to do most DIY jobs, this was so difficult to get right I had to hire someone to complete the work. It still took them more than 2 hours to fit. Reversing the lock is difficult but there is a good video on how to do it online if you google it.
Nice, easy-to-fit bathroom lock

I bought this lock as part of my new bathroom refurbishment project. I did notice that a lot of the reviews were negative, but decided to give it a try anyway... The instructions were detailed & easy to follow, but written in tiny, difficult-to-read writing! Fortunately, I didn't have to reverse the lock. Fitting the lock took about two hours, and so far it's working fine. One point to note is that I needed to shorten the main spindle by a few mm using my Dremel, as it was binding on the insides of the handles & making them stiff. To go with my new lock, I chose the white Abla handles & lock knobs (see pictures). So far, the lock is working fine, and I'm very happy with it.
Terrible - Jammed

Same as others, jammed and couldn’t open door, terrible unsafe product
I wouldn’t recommend this!

I would not recommend this. Whatever you do don’t open this up to change the latch round. All parts fall out and no instructions to piece back together again. Cheaply made. Disappointed with this product!
Failed after 4 years

Like others, trapped someone in toilet when handle lock failed. Had to remove outside handle and rescue them with pliers and brute force :/
Time B&Q upgraded this
