Solid but lacking in finer points
I bought these a about a month ago they arrived quickly and with the help of a builder friend they were up within a couple of weeks. I bought two sets - a 2.4 metre and a 3 metre. Although the doors were numbered A, B, C (and D for the larger door) sadly there was no indication of which set each belongs to. This was minor problem once we'd put them up and taken them down again. When I bought the doors I'd believed they were pre-finished, that is to say I did not expect to have to varnish them but as one of my photos hopefully shows after just a couple of days of rain the external surface is beginning to show signs of breakdown. The blurb says all holes are pre-drilled but I had to drill the holes for the lock the handle and the fastening screws on both locking doors and you don't even get a template for it. The striking plate on the four door set is a different size to the rebate and we had to chisel out the lip ourselves. One of the internal bolt locks doesn't work and an end cap for one of the aluminium treads is missing. Tried loading photos but the upload page fails to respond or give any error message

Looks great but grief from the beginging
I ordered 2 sets of these door all be it they were different sizes. First only one set of doors arrived. The second set delivered 5 days later and then they delivered 2 sets refusing to only leave one set and insisting they would book another collection. I used a qualified carpenter for installation The first set of doors were fine. However the larger ones (2105 x 3005) had a problem. The hole for the lock keep was too big for the metal surround supplied by 2.5 cm length. I contacted Jeld Wen who supply the doors who stated they only buy them like that and ship them onto the customer. Having said that they have had a number of doors with this problem they offered to send me a specially made metal surround that would fit. I questioned why when they knew the metal wouldn't fit did they not send the correct metal fittings and they couldn't answer. My guess is that they expect people to make do with the one that is supplied although it wouldn't look a professional finish. Finally both sets of doors could do with an additional top and bottom shoot bolt lock to prevent the play in the bottom of the door that hasn't got one fitted. In a strong wind this would cause the doors to rattle In summary I'm impressed with the look and the price of these doors but there are some issues that need additional attention as I've stated. Regarding the delivery issue I can't fathom why he didn't just take the extra doors away with him. How do these people make any money if the make additional work for themselves for no reason.
