I didn't have a bag and they had these on show at the door so thought "I could do with another bucket and that will do to carry stuff now too". I guess it did part of that job but it's now in a rubbish tip somewhere ,just adding to consumer waste, whereas the heavier duty buckets I bought probably 5-10 years before are still doing fine.

Avoid and get a long lasting bucket and B&Q please just removed this from your product line.

Don't try to use the carrying handle

As a cheap bucket it is ok, but don't try to lift or carry it full with the handle! I've had two, and the holes on the lip of the bucket through which the ends of the handle are inserted are too large, so the handle easily pulls out with any weight or stress at all. Better to buy the black builders bucket at roughly same price where the retaining mechanism for the handle is a metal loop which works much better.

Terrible for heavy duty work

This bucket is no good for heavy duty work such as plastering. Upon mixing some plaster ready for putting it up on a ceiling, the bucket literally fell apart the handle went first and then the plastic split. Make sure you get a better heavy duty bucket if you need to mix anything as these buckets cannot cope and should only be used for household and light tasks.

I bought 3 of these buckets and only use them for winemaking. Easy to sterilise. I stand the boiled fruit, sugar, water mash in them for 3 days covered tightly with aluminium foil either side of the handle, pleated on top. I then strain the fruit skins off and transfer the wine to demijohns with yeast. Works fine every time, easy to move around and clean..
