This gorgeous ranunculus produces stunning peony-like flower heads in a vibrant orange that will add wonderful colour to spring. Ideal in containers or sheltered borders

• Planting location: Suitable for beds, borders or containers
• Flowering period: April-May, Planting period: Aug-Dec
• Plant at a depth of 8cm. Plant in sun. For best results, soak the tubers in water for a few hours before planting. Dig compost and bonemeal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole. Plant them with claws facing downwards. Cover over and water well. In colder areas, it is better to plant in containers under shelter until all risk of frost has passed. In the growing season, water plants in containers during dry spells. Deadhead regularly. Top dress with a general purpose plant food as the last flowers fade. Allow foliage to die down naturally.
