Great but ............... where's the safety?????
Cut wood then tried again and the saw only moves part way down? Why??? Grrrrrrrr?

Love this saw BUT
I’ve had this saw for a year and found it very reliable BUT when the metal fence broke in half i can’t find a replacement anywhere gutted.

Bearing/gearbox failed after only several months
Liked this when i first bought it, it performed well, but after several months the bearing/gearbox failed. Unfortunately I didn’t keep my receipt or register with the manufacturer.

Miss leasing information
After purchasing I have noticed that the information shown in the product specs are NOT the same as on the box. The cutting depth at 90, is not 70mm it’s 65mm. The cutting depth at 45 bevel is NOT 70mm it’s 35mm. B&q should not be allowed to sell wrong information to customers. I will be returning this saw.

Great value saw that appears well designed
This is a great product and rips through wood like butter. I checked out other mitre saws and chose this one after checking the amount of "play" in the pivots and sliders and found this one to be very good. Warning!! Ironically I decided to change the blade so I could use it to cut metal but could not undo the bolt. I re-read the manual to check it wasn't a left hand thread and there is no mention of that. Furthermore the diagram clearly shows a normal thread that needs to be rotated anticlockwise to remove it (see attached picture). ! I returned the product thinking it most likely the bolt had been cross threaded and B & Q changed it without a problem (after they too tried to remove the bolt!!). To cut a long story short I eventually found that it is a left hand thread! I recommend this product as a good buy.

Very Good but a small design flaw.
I previously had the static saw for many years, which was very good until I tried to buy a new blade, couldn't. So invested in this one, blade a bit smaller, but ok, could benefit from a finer tooth pitch. The flaw is that you cannot use the item clamp on the right hand side as it stops the sliding part as the motor unit crashes into the clamp upright. OK for rough cutting, but be prepared for sand edges alot. Good for the price.

What a great mitre saw for the home user. Accurate cuts, huge range of cuts in comparison to similar saws. Worth every penny

Excellent value
For the money you cannot fault this, 48T blade as standard. Sepnt an hour setting it up, as the fence was in wrong position and not at 90 deg to blade and mitre stops were all over the shop out of the box, but after that, excellent cuts.
