Good value but needs careful set up

I bought this for a one off job where I couldn't justify additional expense. The laser needs to be lined up with the guide and blade by adjustment of the front casing screws. It doesn't mention that in the instructions, you have to work it out by yourself. Once properly adjusted, and the pendulum control properly set for depth, it will cut straight and true. You have to use better blades than supplied. For scroll work it wont cut properly without putting a slope into the cut so a proper scrolling jigsaw or more expensive model is needed for precision work. For cutting laminate flooring or ply/MDF up to 20mm thick it's perfect. For anything thicker, look elsewhere. Would I buy again? No...I'd invest in Bosch instead.

Terrible Product

Cut great, and straight for 18cm then blade kept skipping out of the blade guides and continually tracked to the left - even when ran along a brace! Dont kid yourself into saving money by buying this, invest money and buy a decent jigsaw. Brought this product on 15th November and will be returning it on 16th, would have returned on 15th same day if the store was open. Not fit for purpose.

Not bad, but save some money...

... by buying the version without the laser pointer doodah. This is a decent quality jigsaw for light to medium work. Just don't try cutting thicker things like doors (why are you using a jigsaw anyway?) otherwise, like other people have said, you'll end up with a wonky cut - don't rely on the laser line! As mentioned at the start, save yourself some money by purchasing the version without a laser - draw your own lines with a good old pencil and straight edge.

Very poor

Mine also tracked badly to the right - nowhere near the laser line. It came out of it's guide as soon as it was switched on and nothing I did corrected that. Definitely not recommended

buy a better one

Returned this as the blade ran to the right, the whole baldes support mechanism was totally out of line the laser line is nearly useless but thats not a fault they are more of a gimic than of any use

Good value for money

I bought this for working on a cabinet I was building. Really good product. The blade that comes with it is not so great. Once I replaced the blade with a Bosch blade, the work was very easy and simple. Very stable and amazing value for money.
