Great Photo But the guide is fitted the wrong way
The photo you are usining has the guide fitted the wrong way around, the flat side facing the camera is supposed to be the guide side for the work to be cut...Doh..

Absolute Rubbish
I bought this a couple of months ago, finally used it today. Guard did not fit properly and is very loose, this caused wood to get stuck. No matter how much I tightened the guide it kept moving ruining three pieces of wood before I gave up. It's going back tomorrow.

Complete rubbish
Bought this item for a DIY project. The plastic cover around the blade isn't flat and protrudes up above the cutting table, and the blade guard flaps around. The latter problem is dangerous as the guard can contact the blade without any force being applied. Because of this I haven't started it up and will be returning it for a full refund. Avoid this item at all costs.

table saw worst purchase ever
this came we took it out of the box the bottom wasnt welded right then when we put it together the blade wasnt straight we had to use nuts and bolts to put behind blade my huband had to undo all the nuts holding it together to try to get right and then when you cut with it it doesnt cut straight very disapointing not value for money at all a waste of money and very unhappy as this was a birthday present for my husband it was too heavy and would have cost too much too send back wouldnt recommend at all

power saw good deal
I needed a saw I looked at band saws, scroll saws, jigsaws and Circular saws but they were all too expensive, I thought I would give this a go, I have to be honest for the price, I didnt expect much, but was pleasantly surprised it cut through marine ply 40mm no problem and 4x2 with a little tweeking. it even has a safety break on it which is an added extra thats if your wood is touching the blade when you switch on it doesnt rip it to shreads, Im a Builder tradesman I have trade tools like Bosch Dewalt but I needed a cheap motor for conversation into a larger bench saw, but for the time being I needed all the wood cutting first with this saw before I make the bench, anyway the saw isnt square when you assemble but if you apply abit of GBH it squares up fine, The rip fence is rubbish so I replaced the nuts or screws supplied and changed them into double nut ends with spring washers Job done, the Guide on top is naff again I took it apart and just used the main one covering the blade the little slider one that was attached to this blocked your cutting view so I took it off changed the screw fitting for a locknut and twistnut, So I can adjust it carefully fitted spacers on the inside to strengthen it and now that works a treat, and its safe no lost fingers, Overall I would say that any bench can be good with a good blade and a strong plateform, by the way the guide rails that are supplied are not strong enough for large sheets, but you can whip up a abit of straight alloy with clamps does the same job and was better because you measure twice before you cut, A little work on a cheap saw took me an hour to assemble with all the tweeks good deal can not complain for less than £60 and now I have used it for cutting all my bench wood to size its going to get a new home in it 200x30 blade I used it but would recomend replacing for a better quality blade, The motor is fine Hope this all helps

Great for the price
Overall I was keen to purchase a table saw and was drawn to the Performance Power saw because of the low price. I decided to take a punt and overall I am very happy. In a nutshell - for the price it's great but there are some issues - though not enough to annoy. I feel quite chuffed with it now that it is set up on the bench it helped build (picture below). Setup The instructions are easy to follow regarding fitting the dust extractor, blade, riving knife and blade guard. One issue I did notice is that when I secured the blade at what I thought was 90 degrees it was actually around 89 or 88 which wasn't great. I had to really pull the adjustable handles on the front and back of the saw and keep tension on them as I tightened. A quick test with a square revealed the blade was at 90d exactly. Not really an issue but still worth noting if you decide to purchase. Take your time getting it set up right. Quality The table and frame are quite sturdy. The motor runs well and is surprisingly quiet. The blade cuts well and gives a good clean cut. The riving knife works well and is sturdy once installed. However, the blade guard in my opinion is a bit of a waste of time. It attaches to the riving knife but there is far too much lateral play on the guard. Without the guard installed you can line up the blade with the line on your work piece and achieve an accurate cut. But with the guard installed it is difficult to see the blade as your work piece approaches it. The dust collection cover is also a little flimsy. Because it only has screws at the top left and right, the bottom of the cover sits away from the saw by 1-2mill which allows dust to escape. The "fence" is alright but the clamps that attach it could be better. Function The blade runs true and cuts through 2by4s and ply board etc with ease. It does fire out quite a bit of wood chippings directly at your face. I'm not sure if a zero clearance insert would help. There's quite a bit of space in the supplied insert but this is to accommodate the adjustable blade angle. Not having adjustable blade height might be a drawback to some, but I'm happy enough with that. I would recommend it for the price. I have other PP products too - a jigsaw and drill driver and I'm happy with those.

Did the Job
As someone who would not describe himself as a 'do-it-yourselfer' these days, the first challenge was to fix the bits that weren't already fixed to the saw table - like, the blade, and the guard, and something called a 'riving knife', which I'd never heard of. However, study of the leaflet which came in the box, and the large colour picture on the box itself soon showed me where things went. I hadn't foreseen the need to have the saw bolted down to a firm surface before I used it. Not having access to a workbench as such, I had to improvise with a Workmate. It did the job but is not ideal, and a solid workbench is really necessary. I was only cutting 3.6mm plywood for a model railway baseboard, so a lot of pressure wasn't needed and the energy requirement was well within the capabilities oif the 800W motor. (I only ruined one piece of ply when the rip fence began to move as I hadn't tightened it as much as necessary, and the cut began to wander off the straight!) However, in very short order, with fingers intact, I had several strips of plywood, so much faster than had I used my portable circular saw instead, and more accurate. Just got to put all the bits of the baseboard together before I can run in my new OO Gauge 'Deltic'.
