Dowel rod curtain pole
I bought this 2.4m dowel rod to replace one that had long seen better days, plus I wanted to paint it to fit in with the colour of the room. The finish is nice and smooth and once given a light sanding the adhesion was excellent for the chosen paint. The grain was not visible once painted. Overall the quality is good and the roundness is consistent throughout its length - I did however have to sort through 14 other dowels of this size to find one that wasn’t bent like the proverbial banana !! The dowel seems sturdy and does not seem to be prone to splitting.

Modified Curtain rail
Bought this product as required a curtain rail for the front door as it has a nice smooth finish.

Dowling
Difficult to find a straight, unsplit at ends piece. Had to loose a few inches off each end to compensate for splits.

Good for the job
