Not so good
Bought this today - it's actually 50mm not 40mm. Product bar code 0389 4361 is 40mm

Spec says 40mm. It’s more like 45mm. It doesn’t fit.

Surely they couldn't get *this* wrong?
I bought three of these stoppers to replace three old and tatty ones in three different sinks. Not one of them fits any of the sinks properly. They look like they fit, but it turns out the angle of the upper chrome part is too great and it just rests against the drain with the O-ring not doing anything. It's a very poor design that sadly reflects the quality of more and more of B&Q's in-house offerings. Don't fall for the convenience trap like I did. Do yourself a favour and wait until a real plumbing provider is open on Monday and get proper stoppers that A) fit, and B) are cheaper.

No chain!
I bought this plug in good faith thinking that there would only be one standard size. I was wrong! It was too big for my sink. Also, there was no suitable chain available, only a longer one to suit a bath

Looks good
If the circumference were a millimetre shorter it might sit absolutely well in the hole. As it is, it tends to push its way up and sit at an angle, making it susceptible to being dislodged.
