Great basecoat to give perfect finish
I have used this to help prevent finishing plaster coming away from walls when using emulsion. It also helps cover up imperfections on walls. It tends to dry out very quickly, so I water it down without any problems. Also great for covering darker colours, even wallpaper, before final coats. Buying it will add to the cost and time involved, but if you like a near perfect finish, I would recommend using it.

Did what it said on the tin.
We moved into an older house. On removing wallpaper and ceiling paper found a few cracks, covered well until we get the money to have each room plastered

Really did do the job.
Had some nasty nicotine stains on the ceiling when we moved in. Applied "five" coats of emulsion but stains still came through. Decided to try Polycell Matt one coat and it did the trick.

excellent primer
bought this to prime bare walls that had been previousley papered and needed some sanding . first i was a bit sceptical after reading some negative feedback but was lot of positive too.first impression was excellent ,i used a roller as recommended and it went on smooth and even.its quite thick as its a primer paint and it takes a while to get into the surface imperfections,however it worked faultless only advice is try and do one section at a time and dont go back over until it dries as its a thick paint and can be tacky so it will spoil finish and will need to be re sanded but if you do one wall at a time and leave it dry before going over it again its fine.overall i would definately recommend it .and it does fill hairline cracks and blocks out old stains or darker paint.i bought 2 tins of 2.5 litres as they worked out cheaper than a 5l tin.and they only just covered my bedroom wall as its thick it wont go as far as normal emulsion and my bedroom is a small medium size. however a great paint.

Covered up nicotine stains perfectly
I was having some difficulty covering a heavily nicotine stained room and the usual sugar soap and one coat paint didn't touch it. Thought I'd give this a go and the stains were completely gone after one coat. Easy to apply and worth every penny. Didn't even need to paint the ceiling afterwards! Can't recommend it enough.

Great product
Helped with a peeling wall on my landing. A lot goes along way as it's very think and spreads well. Also painted a small area in our spare room which is next on the list, it has green and blue walls from the previous owner and colour was covered up well. Used a roller and brush.

does the job
My walls are far too rough for painting so i left the wallpaper on. The paper was excellent quality but the colours were a little too bold. I had used a cover all base coat before so had expectations from this paint. It is quite thick a nd a lot does not go to far. One coat covered the pattern ready for just one coat pf top paint. I think the paint is better for going directly on the wall and is thick enough to cover very small cracks. I would use this again it is far superior to multiple layers of undercoats. It is not brilliant but quicker and better than any of the alternatives on the shelf

Very disappointed
Used this to cover a bright yellow wall, the surface before painting was good as it had been plastered by the previous owner so I cleaned it and painted on the Polycell 3 in 1 BIG Mistake the paint finish made the wall look like it was pebble dashed & I spent 3 days rubbing it down to get back to a half decent surface. Went back to B&q for a refund. Don't buy this product, just use a coat of trade emulsion.

Poly cell 3in 1 white base coat 2.5L
Bought this product to cover chocolate brown painted walls.It did exactly what it said on the tin.Used a roller and it completely blocked out with one coat.I was able to repaint within an hour.Very pleased with the result it gave and would highly recommend using it.

Bought this because other paint crackled when dry, this covers all old paint sealing it so any colour can be painted after giving an excellent solid finish.
