This clear interior varnish from the Ronseal Interior diamond hard range can be applied to interior using a brush. The varnish dries in just 20 minutes and will cover up to 24 m² per litre on average.
- Gives great protection against knocks, scuffs and scratches
- Surface Preparation - Ensure the room is warm and ventilated. To prepare the wood for varnishing, give the surface a wipe down with a cloth and white spirit to remove wax, grease, dirt and oil. Use 120 grit sandpaper to give the surface a quick sand and smooth out any rough patches. If the wood has an old coating on it, sand away the peeling, loose and flaking bits so the surface is even. Let the dust settle and wipe it away with a damp cloth. Leave the wood to dry thoroughly before varnishing.
- Instructions for Use - Give your varnish a stir, and test the colour on a hidden patch to make sure you’re happy with it. It may darken your wood slightly but it should bring out its natural colour. If you’re happy with how it looks, apply an even layer of the varnish painting in the direction of the woodgrain. Wait one hour for the coat to dry. You will need two to three coats for complete coverage and protection. Before you apply your final coat (whether that’s the second or third), sand down the surface and wipe the dust off with a cloth. This will help your final coat stick smoothly and will give you a perfect finish.

Apply Thinly and Quickly for a Great Finish
I've used this product before and applied it too thickly....which resulted in white opaque streaks at the time and they didn't disappear when dry. So this time I made sure there were no white streaks when applying (applied thinly) and the end result was perfect. I also suggest applying quickly as drying time is short, and keeping track of where you're up to as the wet varnish edge can be difficult to see!

Quick drying, easy to apply.
Used this instead of osmo oil on veneered oak doors. Much cheaper and low VOC’s which meant I could varnish the doors in situ. Water based product so easy to clean brushes afterwards 5*

Brilliant product
I used this to treat a dining table. I used a foam roller to apply it. You get a few air bubbles at first but keep rollering to thin out the coat. The bubbles disappear nicely. Just used the whole tin and applied 4 thin coats. Looks amazing.

This product negates the reason for all your hard
I have refinished a floor after about 5 years use and used this varnish. Within a few days there are scratches and marks all over and we don’t even have furniture, coffee tables etc that could drag on the surface. Waste of my time and money. I should have used the product I used before

Perfect for Oak Doors
Could not decide between wax or varnish, tried some other wax that was great on kitchen worktop but awful on my oak doors, it made them look red. Went back to tried and trusted Ronseal interior varnish and looks brilliant

Does exactly what it says on the tin!!
I used this product to finish and protect some bare solid oak doors. It gave a really good finish after a rub down between coats and without changing the colour. It dries really quickly so you can get the job done quickly. Cleans up with water so no mess or unpleasant smells.
